Spirit is the most advanced CRM that helps thousands of businesses market to education establishments.
Spirit is a CRM system built by The Education Company. Intended solely for businesses that market to schools, Spirit is a unique CRM with a huge amount of features.
The Spirit app interface was outdated, and the design had been adapted around new features that had been implemented after the app was designed. The result was bloated and a lot of features were difficult to find. Our task was to redesign the user experience and interface for use as a web app.
Our first step was to conduct user research in the form of surveys with Spirit’s current users. This helped us determine which were the core functions and what aspects of the app users felt frustrated with.
Following the results of the surveys we began wire framing the main screens of Spirit, and planning the user journey. A lot of thought and research went into picking the typeface as it was of utmost importance that the typeface was legible at small sizes.
A new brand direction
As part of the UI/UX process we redesigned the Spirit logo to create a solid foundation for the app. We wanted the Spirit brand to be perceived as professional yet also personal.
A fingerprint symbol was developed to provide a simple and secure approach to the CRM system.
A Seamless Experience
We designed the new Spirit interface by putting the most important information at the forefront of the user’s screen and hiding the lesser-used features behind intelligent panels and featured interactions
The Spirit sidebar is a pivotal asset that allows the user to see exactly where there are an jump in and out of multiple aspects of the app quickly and intuitively.

As part of the initial Spirit launch we prepared a brochure detailing some of the core features of Spirit and showcasing the new interface and brand.
